2012
2011 went by in the blink of an eye. It has been such an eventful year and I gained many new experiences.
First was getting into 3L at the start of the year. I’m thankful for such a great class and I really regret not putting in more effort to get to know the class better. I promise to try and spend more time with 3L!
And then there was SYF. The months leading to SYF were just a crazy mix of tiredness and stress. I’m so proud of the Gold we got and I’ll never forget the amount of effort we all put in together to attain this Gold. DHSSB rox your sox!!!!!
Sydney in June was one of the most amazing experiences ever. Spent most of the 6 days with my beloved section and it was just plain amazing. It was such a pity that we missed the chance to play in the Opera House but I’m just grateful that we even got a chance to step foot on Sydney because of the many problems that cropped up before that. (I’ll always remember the ash clouds that almost caused our trip/flight to be cancelled)
I also worked for the first time this year, as a banquet waitress at Fullerton and Marina Mandarin. It was quite a different feeling and I must say it was quite an eye opening experience. Tiring and all, but really good exposure!
And the recent overnight band camp. The floor was hard and cold, the showers had no heaters (T_T) and we could only bathe for 5 min lol, the food wasn’t fantastic but I guess camps are like that to train us. By the time the camp was over, everyone was so exhausted but it was great bcos we went through it as a band. It was our last Sojourn together with the year 5s and my dearest seniors are so cute!! I’ll miss them to bits and I had a wonderful time as their junior.
2011 was such a great year because I got to know so many people better. Lost a good friend, but gained so many more. I’m really thankful for everyone in my life and I hope that 2012 will be a better (or at least decent) year for all my dear friends :-)
